Desiree Baker, a proud member of the 'Namgis First Nation from Alert Bay, B.C., brings with her deep-seated roots in Indigenous communities. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Desiree is a devoted mother, proud Grandma, and cherished Auntie, embodying the core values of family and community in all aspects of her life. With an extensive background spanning Community and Economic Development, Health Services, and Tourism, Desiree boasts over 30 years of invaluable experience in empowering Indigenous communities. Her proficiency in grant writing has led to the successful acquisition of over $8.5 million in funding for clients across Canada, the USA, and Jamaica, making a tangible impact on community development and sustainability.
Notably, Desiree actively collaborates with key organizations such as Destinations BC and Indigenous Tourism BC, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to advancing Indigenous businesses and communities. Through her work, she adeptly navigates cultural protocols and First Nation dynamics, fostering meaningful connections and driving positive change in the Indigenous tourism sector and beyond. With her wealth of experience and dedication, Desiree continues to be a driving force in empowering Indigenous voices and initiatives across the globe.

Diana Gilbert Community Engagement and funding specialist
Diana Gilbert, a seasoned professional in environmental management and community engagement, boasts over two decades of experience. With a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, she has led and contributed to numerous community-driven initiatives and emergency response programs for municipalities, Indigenous communities and the Energy sector. Diana's expertise extends to grant procurement and project management, including Climate Change Adaptation strategies. Notably, she has managed global teams, excelling in sales and leadership for over 15 years. As founder of the Hope Entrepreneur Women's networking group and a recent grad of a Climate Change Adaptation micro-credential at Royal Roads University, Diana remains committed to personal and professional growth. Her passion lies in leveraging her skills to address environmental, safety, and sustainability challenges, welcoming collaborations for positive change.

Founded by a resilient Indigenous woman, Desiree, our mission is to empower our people with infrastructure and food sovereignty. Offering a range of services including grant writing, feasibility studies, and business support, we strive to turn dreams into reality. Fast forward to 2024, and REV Consulting has secured over $8.5 million in funding, supported businesses to thrive, and provided essential infrastructure to rural areas. Through our dedication, we've lifted families out of poverty, trained hundreds of employees, and championed cultural humility. Our story is one of resilience, empowerment, and creating lasting impact for generations to come."

Economic Development Plan and Many Grant Proposals Written!
Economic Development Plan: REV Consulting Inc. is currently developing a comprehensive plan to guide sustainable economic growth and job creation for the Heiltsuk Nation.
Qatawalas Business Plan: We crafted a detailed business plan for Qatawalas, the Heiltsuk Nation's tourism information and artisan centre, ensuring its operational and financial success.
Qatuwalas Website Creation:
Our team successfully built a interactive website for the informtaion and atisan centre. The site can book tours and take payments.
Summer Jobs Program Grant: REV Consulting Inc. wrote a winning grant application for a Summer Jobs Program, providing valuable employment opportunities for the community's youth.

Kwikwetlem and City of Coquitlam BC, Canada Initiate Indigenous Cultural Safety in Emergency Management Training Program Led by Desiree Baker @ REV Consulting Inc
Desiree Baker, of the ‘Namgis First Nation, has been selected by a steering committee comprised of representatives of both the City of Coquitlam and the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm First Nation to develop and deliver training that fosters inclusivity and deepens City staff’s understanding of the unique needs and perspectives of Indigenous Peoples with a focus on emergency management situations.

Echen Healing Society
Grant Writing: REV Consulting Inc. has written multiple grants for Echen Healing Society including one to upgrade their equestrian program by adding 2 new horses, new specialized handicapped accessible saddles and a lift to move riders to and from the horse to wheelchair.
United Way Critical Food Infrastructure Program: Funding will provide a large greenhouse, 20 community garden plots and a youth training and health awarness program.
